My kind of weekend

What an amazing weekend. Thursday night Chris had a basketball game, but Chris told me we had to drive separate and that he had planned a surprise. I'm super nosy and asked millions of questions. He did a very good job of confusing me. Well he played well in his game and we headed home, but I was told I had to stop by my parents and he would call me. So I stopped by and talked with my parents. Chris called, but told me I had to ring the bell, turn around, and close my eyes, which I did, but I still got blind folded. Chris then took my purse and lead me into the kitchen. Took off the blind fold, and I opened my eyes to a candle lit room with the table set and my favorite dinner in the oven. It was an amazing surprise!!! Having Friday off from work we then spent all Friday together getting tons of different things done. We spent the rest of the weekend together. :) But come Monday he will start school again. Which means I might see him in the mornings before I go to work. Other than that we has school Monday thur Friday from 9am till 9 pm that also includes his work schedule, plus homework on the weekends. I'm excited for the future! And school is definitely a part of our future.

Happy New Years!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Chris and I were very blessed to be able to spend the holidays with our families. In just a few years that wont be possible. (Due to dental school.) So we try and spend as much time as we can with both sides of our families. Speaking of dental school... I sure would love to live in Arizona right now. No cold weather to bum me out all the time. Arizona is our number 1 pick for dental school. Its super close to family, warm weather, great school, and not the most expensive. We also would love to go to Texas. Its very well priced and it would be right next to Megabrand (AKA Megan and Brandon). Chris would love to go east but I'm content living close to family. We still have about a year till we apply but I'm excited!

I am craving quilting !!! I was bored at work and needed something to do... so I started looking at fabric. BAD IDEA, now all I want to do is quilt. I don't really need a quilt but I do need a project. :) So I just have to convince Chris to let me go shopping. Fabric never seems to be cheap so I will slowly start to gather my fabric. I just can't seem to decide what kind of fabric I want. I just can't wait to get it started.

This past week I had a very close friend get married! Congrats to the Hardcastle's!!! I love temple weddings! It really reminded Chris and I of our own wedding. And one thing I am so grateful for is that my favorite brother-in-law wrote down some of the things that were said in our sealing and gave it to us. So we were able to look over them during the weekend. I loved it! I love more than anything is going to the temple. I feel like everything makes sense while your their. And as soon as I go home I again question if we are making the right decisions for our small family. Yet, It always surprises me how my heart feels one way and the world keeps telling me otherwise. But I do love when you get an answer about something you have been praying about and what a peaceful feeling comes over you. I feel like I can finally think because my heart and my head have stopped arguing. I have totally felt this way the past couple of weeks. Just decided on little things in our lives. I love the gospel! I don't know what I would do without it in my life. I am so blessed to have been raised in the gospel. I can't thank my Husband enough for all he does for me. As well as all my family and friends. I love going to the temple! I love my sweet husband ! And my wonderful family. I wish you all the best!

Chris and I had a fabulous holiday weekend! We spent thanksgiving with both sides of the family. We had so much fun just hanging out with our families. We had a weekend of crummy football. Every one of my teams LOST! It was sad but Chris cheered me up with some decorating, Christmas music and cookies! We also had a Wii resort playoff … I won 1 out of 12. Chris dominated me with a final score of 11 out of 12. Good news is I really worked out my right arm. But all in all it was great weekend!

Chris and I are so stinkin exciting for Christmas!! Chris has a very hard time keeping presents a secret. But that only makes it more fun for me. Once I get a gift I have to wrap it asap or I risk the chance of Chris finding it. This year we also made Izzy a stocking. Yes, she is totally like our child. But she is just so sticking cute! She LOVES the snow. We can’t get her to come in when it’s snowing. She has this cute little sweater she wears when it’s cold. She will bring it to us when she wants it on. And if that’s not the cutest thing ever … she rings the bell when she needs/ wants to go outside. And if she could she would spent all day outside. Last week Chris got so sick or her ringing the bell he moved the bell up by the door knob. Well a few minutes later Chris and I hear the bell ringing … we found out that she will now jump up and swat the bell. It’s a blast to watch.

Chris surprised me today by taking Izzy to the groomers. I have been dying to get her hair cut for our Christmas cards. But Chris kept saying he loved it long. Who knew he already had an appointment. So we will get our pictures done today and our cards out pretty soon. It was super cute of Chris and Izzy just looks so adorable. Well I think that’s it for our catch up. Hope everyone is enjoying themselves during these wonderful holidays.

My Hobbies

My hobbies – Well I have just been thinking today about all of my favorite things to do. So I made list of everything on my mind

Quilting-

Well I started making rag quilts last December. (Thanks to Shauna) But I just started another one for Halloween! It’s my fifth quilt & I must say I love quilting. I love the end result and seeing the hard work I put into it.

Exercise-

Well with our family cruise coming up Chris and I are working on getting back in shape. It seems to be so hard to get back into exercise but once you do it becomes addicting! I am in the mode, as my dad would say. I miss high school for this reason and this reason: Gym class… My senior year I had Track, Dance, Cheer, and fit for life class. I was consistently working out. But once High school ended so did my workouts. And I feel like out of all the crazy things going on in life that is one thing I always have control over is my body. So body-- be prepared to get your butt kicked for the next month!

Dancing-

Well it has been a very long time sense I have like seriously danced. I miss it like crazy! I miss teaching dance! I felt like I could keep up on flexibility and technique a little bit. Now I have lost it all. BUT I am currently stretching daily. I will get my flexibility back! I am choreographing Gabby's solo this year. I love it, when I teach it I feel like I can get my quota for dancing for the day.

Tumbling-

Man I miss tumbling! Steph gave me a private tumbling lesson right before our Mexico trip. That way we could tumble on the beach. I am planning another one soon so we can tumble on our cruise! Tumbling has always been such a passion for me. I really would love to take classes weekly. It’s just so had to find the time… I guess my yard will have to do for now.

Well we were reminded this week that Izzy need to be fixed soon which we have been planning on from when we decided to add her to our family. Im now having 2nd thoughts. I want baby Isabelle's. But not for a while. I hoping in a couple years when we move out we can have puppies. She is the perfect yorkie! She doesn't bark, loves people, she has the cutest little teddy bear face and she can do some pretty amazing tricks! She just learned to roll over. Now we are working on shaking hands, but every time I say sit or lay down she will.... then within seconds rolls over.. Which is super cute, but the shaking isn't coming along as fast as we would like. She as well will not ride in the car without the window rolled down. She will just lay her head out the window on the door, she is so stinking cute! She keeps me busy while Chris is studying. We just love her! What an amazing birthday! Chris spoiled me silly! Doing everything he could to make it a wonderful day! My dad took me shopping during our lunch break! That was a blast, I love shopping and it has been a long time since I really have gone shopping. My sisters all got me the most fabulous gifts! My in-laws also gave me super cute gifts. I want to thank them all! And all those fabulous friends who reached out to tell me Happy Birthday. I had to work most of the day, but got off early and we headed to dinner. It was my favorite ... Olive Garden. Then scabby had dance so we waited for gifts and cake till she got home which was around 10. Then My father and I opened our gifts and ate ...... yes my favorite red velvet bunt cake!!!!! This is not a joke the best cake in the world!!! Steph had her friends over to enjoy my cake with us. Then my parents, gabby, Chris and I all talked into the late hours of the night. I couldn't have asked for a better 22nd Birthday

Well I figured I would finally update the blog. Izzy is growing so much! We love it! She is also learning to rollover. She is getting it just very slowly. Chris is working & just got his fall schedule .... it's INSANE... He is loving his new job. It truly a blessing in our lives. Im still just working. Cheer is getting crazier by the day. Well just crazy busy. With school starting and so many games, camp, 1/2s coming up we are working hard. This year by far has been my favorite so far. I have never seen so much talent and such great friendships. The office work is a busy! I love working with the docs, Fluffy, & Shauna. Its so fun. I learn so much from the doctors. I love being able to help on excisions. I have also learned how to make quilts and so much more from Shauna.

Chris and I started teaching the 15-16 year old in sunday school this past June. What an amazing class. We love it. Those kids are ready and wanting to learn. They are always getting involved in the lessons. I love it so much! Once and again a blessing. I learn so much from those kids.

This week we had my dads birthday! yea for dad!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! But my family is so busy we wont be able to celebrate till... my BIRTHDAY!!! We will be heading out to dinner monday to have some birthday fun for my dad and I. I love birthdays! Im super excited for my birthday. But I do have to work but I'll live, I guess thats part of growing up and a big kid job. Well I think thats its. Thanks for reading .... Love the Robertson's

My Tribute to Norbert

Well as most of you know in June Norbert just got a little too sick. And for those of you who don't know Norbert was my 1999 Silver Rodeo. It was crushing! I miss my car like crazy!! But I was able to get a new little baby. Its Lily a 1999 red bug. But I'm giving a shout out to Norbert for serving me well for 6 years. He has been faithful and hard working. I shall miss you Norbert and I hope Lily can fit your tires.

I'm not the best blogger but I was told I needed to update! First off Chris and I have added a family member! Her name is Izzy! She is our beautiful little Yorkie! She fits right in. She is still a little puppy so she naps all the time. But when she does wake up she is a blast! Iz and Chris just run back and forth from room to room till she falls asleep! She is now our whole life! We take her everywhere we go! Last night was her first night sleeping thought the whole night!She sleeps cuddled up with our faces and necks. She loves sleeping on our pillows with us. We just love her so so much! She is mine and Chris little baby!

RUSSIA

Chris just called me with some great news! Russia was picked to host the World Cup in 2018! Yes, that means in 8 years Chris and I will be in Russia!!!! I am so so so excited! And hopefully by then we will be able to take our children! I really couldn't be more excited! I just wish it was sooner. I honestly cannot express how excited I am to visit the place where Chris spent 2 years of his life!

Well, last night I finished our stockings! It was the first time sewing sense 7th grade! But it was so much fun and a great learning experience! Now I want to make a quilt and start picking sewing as well! I need something to do while Chris is doing his homework. Otherwise I just distract him from doing anything because I'm so bored. I really would love to start it this weekend and hopefully be done before Christmas!

I almost have all of my Christmas shopping done! Yesterday I finished Chris' gifts! I just got so excited for our first Christmas I felt like I finished way too early! I'm really just so excited! We are almost done shopping for our families but still have a little more to go. It is just such a blast being married! I absolutely love it! We are almost done decorating! I still need to put up my little tree my parents gave me, but other than that we are ready for Santa! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season! Merry Christmas!

So I know it's WAY WAY too early but we are so excited for Christmas we had to set up our Christmas tree! It is BEAUTIFUL! Chris and I are so excited for our first Christmas together. Chris is almost done with this semester only a few weeks left. We will be heading to St. George for Thanksgiving. Which is where we will be watching the U - BYU game! I'm so very excited for the Utes to kill the Y. :) Steph is thinking about going to the Y, which brings up mixed feelings. I think she would love it down their! She is such an amazing student and she is wanting to cheer down their as well. But its hard to accept that because of my strong feelings against the Y. She will be great tho! Everything is wonderful here Chris and I are LOVING our lives together ! :)

We finally unpacked everything! Yahoo! It took me a while! Chris and I are dying to get a German Shepherd!!! But we will have to wait a while! We are so grateful to the Robertson's for letting us live here. WE love it!! I'm not sure about them. Today Chris and I were playing football. We came up with a new way to kick the ball..... I would put the ball on my forehead while holding it with my right hand. Chris would run up and kick it. I'm certain Laurel was ready to kill Chris! :) I was pretty scared myself, I have broken my nose one too many times. Life is great though. We couldn't be better.

Wedding plans are going very well! I love it!! It's so enjoyable. We have meet with just about everyone but we still have a lot to do. There is only 50 days left! Chris and I are looking forward to the 2 week vacation after the wedding. St. George for a week then off to Mexico for the next week! There is so much to look forward in our future! This past week we started getting our kitchen table ready. We have covered all of our chairs and have almost finished with hooking then to the chairs. They all look so good we love them! Our Kitchen is red, black, and white! Everything is amazing here!!!
